Purpose of automated control system of RF pumps
In ACS, there are two control modes: local and remote. The choice of mode is carried out by a switch on the doors of the control cabinet of the VFD. In local mode, control from the local touch panel (HR), remote - from the panel on the control panel of network pumps.

There are two modes of control circuit: manual and automatic. In manual mode, the frequency of rotation of the engine fed from the VFD is regulated. In automatic mode, the pressure regulator operates at the head with a limiter of the minimum pressure on the suction.
When designing, all designations of the elements of the technological and electrical parts of the touch panel control are brought into line with the real scheme.
The reference state of the circuit:
- cH pumps stopped;
- high-voltage pump cells are disconnected;
- high-voltage cells feeding the VFD are disabled;
- control mode remote automatic;
- The HRC is not in “Accident” mode.
On the mnemonic diagram of the screen are displayed engines CH-5, CH-6, CH-7. (See? An example of a touch screen control panel on one of the implemented projects.
This mode is the most fully functional to perform the task of automatic regulation and pressure maintenance, since all three pumps can be used from the ICS, the function of cascading switching of the VFD and CH is involved.
Functions of ICS:
- Maintaining the specified technological parameter in automatic or manual modes;
- A technological regulator that receives a parameter task (in analog or digital form) and feedback on a parameter (in analog or digital form).
- Control of the working frequency converter and formation of the task for it, in case of failure of the working frequency converter - control of the reserve frequency converter;
- Control of the status of the VFD, exchange of information containing data of analog and digital signals;
- Management of high-voltage cells, control of their position;
- Management of the SCR, control of the position of switching devices of the SCR and SCR;
- Control of pressure valves, control of their position;
- Cascading on and off of pumps to ensure the required parameter;
- Control of the maximum allowable number of simultaneously operating pumps;
- Alignment of the workings of pumps;
- Maintenance of event logs;
- Diagnostic support;
- Support for dispatching;
- Communication with the operator’s APM and upper-level ATMs using the ModBus or ProfiBus protocol (other request protocols);
- Communication with HR via MODBUS.
