WORKING PRINCIPLE
The static exciter of the EX-SR series is manufactured by Energocomplekt JSC and is designed to supply automatically regulated current to the excitation windings of synchronous motors. The exciters of the EX-SR series form the output voltage and current, which is supplied to the excitation winding of the synchronous electric motor by means of a thyristor transducer, which is controlled by a microprocessor regulator.
The power part of the thyristor converter provides for the possibility of working in both bridge and zero straightening schemes. Switching between operating modes is made automatically depending on the required excitation currents and engine operating modes.
The power part of the excitation regulator is powered by an industrial three-phase voltage network with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 380 V through a matching transformer, the secondary windings of which are assembled into a “star” with zero output.
The static exciter comprises two completely identical, independent, galvanically decoupled excitation regulators that enable automatic (in case of malfunction) and manual switching between these units during motor operation. At the same time, the thyristor converter converts the 3-phase network into a constant voltage.
The thyristor bridge is assembled as a three-phase rectifier on thyristors according to the Larionov scheme. 3. The voltage was removed by the FLUK190 oscilloscope through a measuring current transformer. The converter is designed for full input output current and voltage. As a rule, in the nominal mode, the static exciter operates in the “zero circuit”.

Each controller includes a central microprocessor module, an analog signal converter module, a discrete input/output module located in a separate screening section, on the door of which there is a touch panel. Touch panel displays all technical information about the product.
The use of the touch panel can significantly reduce the number of controls and make work with the product convenient and affordable. Touch panel allows for multi-level access for operational services and engineering staff, thus ensuring reliability in operation and ease of maintenance.
Touchbar (6 inches) has an operator menu of 15 screens, through which you can quickly monitor any EX-SR node and obtain performance values in real time. The control system has a log of 150 events, each of which records more than 80 parameters of the state of the system at the emergency moment (currents, voltages, active / reactive power, positions of discrete inputs / outputs, values of coefficients, etc.).
The use of a microprocessor control system with galvanic decoupling, a touch panel that determines the level of access of personnel, as well as the use of low-voltage power modules in the assembly allows you to manufacture an EX-SR corresponding to a high technical level, provide increased reliability and convenient maintenance.
