Purpose of the ITS excitation system STS
Static thyristor excitation systems of the series STS-HP-XXX-XXX-UHL4 are designed to supply automatically controlled rectified current windings of excitation of turbo and hydro generators of medium power. Excitation systems can be used for both newly developed and reconstructed turbo and hydro generators.
The excitation system is designed to operate under the following conditions:
- height above sea level not more than 1000 m;
- normal ambient air temperature from +1°C to +40°C;
- relative humidity not more than 80% at a temperature of +25 ° C.

WORK ROMES AND PARAMETERS OF AWAITING
- the initial excitation is carried out from the network of own needs of the station 380V or from a direct current source 220V. The inclusion of direct current on the network is made automatically in the absence of power from the AC network;
- idle;
- incorporation into the network by the method of accurate (automatic and manual) synchronization;
- inclusion in the network by self-synchronization (with a slide of no more than 5%);
- work in the combined or autonomous power systems with loads from idling to nominal, as well as with overloads corresponding to GOST 183-74, GOST 533-2000 and GOST 5616-89;
- stable regulation of excitation under abruptly variable loads, up to individual load discharges caused by the simultaneous inclusion of asynchronous motors with a squirrel-cage rotor with a total power of up to 30% of the rated power of the generator;
- stop the unit in normal and emergency modes;
- forcing excitation with a given multiplicity and adjustable forcing setting and excitation in case of disturbances in the power system, causing respectively a decrease or increase in voltage on the tires of the station or turbine generator in relation to the specified static characteristic;
- excitation (quenching of the field) during normal stop of the generator by transferring the thyristor converter (hereinafter the converter) to the inverter mode;
- field suppression in emergency modes under the action of protection by transferring the converter to the inverter mode and using the field suppression device (UGP);
- proportional-integral regulation of the stator voltage by its deviation from a given value with compounding by the reactive current of the turbine generator. To expand the areas of stability when working in the network under load and improve the quality of transient processes, stabilization is carried out according to the derivatives of the voltage of the stator and current of the rotor of the turbine generator;
- maintaining the voltage at the outputs of the generator in accordance with the specified setting with an accuracy of 1% relative to the specified static characteristic. In this case, the amount of regulation statism can be selected in the range from 0 to 10% in the modes of reactive power output and from 0 to 10% in the modes of reactive power consumption;
- stable distribution of reactive power between generators of comparable power, combined at the level of generator voltage, without the use of group regulation or cross-leveling links;
- unloading the generator on reactive power with an accuracy of ± 5% of the nominal value when it is turned off;
- software initial excitation up to 95±5% of the nominal voltage of the generator and excitation during a planned stop;
- local and remote change of the voltage regulator setting in the range from 80 to 110% of the nominal voltage of the generator;
- limiting the excitation current by two times with respect to the rated excitation current of the generator without time exposure, as well as limiting the overload of the rotor according to the time-dependent characteristic in accordance with the generator data;
- limiting the minimum excitation current to a value that does not allow the generator to enter the deep reactive power consumption mode;
- work with devices for group voltage regulation;
- independence of the voltage at the outputs of the generator from the frequency in the range from 45Hz and above, with a proportional reduction in voltage with a decrease in frequency below 45Hz.
The company performs supervision installation, adjustment and testing of excitation systems, warranty and post-warranty maintenance, modernization and repair of excitation systems of machines in operation, training of service personnel, technical consultations on the choice of excitation systems equipment.
Supply of excitation systems equipment is carried out in terms of 3 to 5 months from the date of prepayment.
