Purpose of the DSU management system
The system of automatic control of the diesel generator is designed to automate diesel generators with drive engines from 800 to 3600 kW according to GOST 14228-80.
SDG for diesel generator sets with brushless generators includes an automatic excitation regulator built into the SDG cabinet.

Diesel generator control system
The boundaries of the DSU ACS system are: the beginning - the input clamps of the ACS power supply shields of the DSU and the terminals for receiving signals from the AC control systems, the end - the input clamps of the actuators, actuators and devices of the KIPIA.
DSU SAU includes:
The DSU ACS consists of:
- control cabinets (SW) - 2 pcs.;
- information cabinet (SI);
- cabinets of own needs (SN) - 2 pcs. ;
- generator control cabinet (NOG);
- registration cabinet (RMDO);
- a set of sensors.
The structural scheme of DSU is presented above.
Control cabinets are designed for:
- processing of information coming from sensors and controls DG and technical means RDES;
- formation of control influences on DG and equipment of own needs;
- transfer of current information on the state of DSU ACS and RDES technical means to SHI.
The structure of the SS includes uninterruptible power supplies with batteries.
The information cabinet is designed to collect information from SS and information analog sensors, present current information about the state of DSU ACS and RDES technical means on the monitor and transfer this information to the registration cabinet.
The generator control cabinet is designed for:
- communication with external control systems of NPPs;
- reception of signals of discrete alarms and other technical means of RDES;
- formation of commands from SW control signals supplied to the DG actuators;
- providing electrical protection of the generator;
- presentation of information on the parameters of the electrical network of the power unit on visualization devices;
- providing manual accurate synchronization of the DG with the station network.
Cabinets of own needs include switching devices for managing equipment of own needs of RDES.
The registration cabinet (RMDO) provides registration of information, its long-term storage and output on paper.
RMDC provides centralized remote monitoring of the state of all RDES of the power unit, registration of this information in order to document the operation process, current diagnosis of RDES, as well as the possibility of restoring the history of the development of emergency events, including the actions of service personnel.
In addition, the RMDC provides the possibility of transmitting information about the state of any of the RDEC over the Ethernet network to the NPP control computing complex.
Sensors are divided into providing measurement parameters for the implementation of control algorithms, alarm and protection (1st group) and information, designed to diagnose the state of equipment of own needs and register parameters (2nd group). Group 1 sensors are duplicated.
The DSU control channels are completely identical. The main channel is the first. Switching to the second channel is carried out automatically on the generalized signal of failure of the first channel. The malfunction signal is also formed when the power supply of the first channel is turned off by the service personnel.
Means of displaying information SI and RMDO are built on the principle of a multi-level structure - from generalized information reflecting the readiness of DG technical means, including DSU ACS, to perform a safety function, to displaying detailed information on the state of individual elements of equipment and automation tools.
The ACS DG and ACS VO include uninterruptible power supply devices with batteries that provide power to the ACS.
