Purpose of the excitation control cabinet SHUV D
The microprocessor automatic excitation regulator AVR-XX-BR-QXD, SHUV-XK-XX-XXD manufactured by Energocomplekt JSC, is designed to supply automatically controlled current of the excitation winding of the brushless synchronous motor exciter in all its operating modes. The regulator also performs the functions of control, protection and alarm about the state of the excitation system.

Automatic excitation regulator AVR-8-BR-Q1D and excitation control cabinet SHUV-2K-8-75D for synchronous motors.
The regulator is manufactured in the climatic version of UHL, category 4 placement according to GOST 15150 and GOST 15543 with the following influencing factors:
- ambient temperature from +1oC to +40oC;
- height above sea level up to 3000 m;
- relative humidity of not more than 80% at a temperature of +25 ° C;
- environment: non-explosive, not containing conductive dust in concentrations that reduce the level of insulation to unacceptable limits.
Working hours
The automatic excitation regulator provides:
- automatic supply of excitation to the function of time and current when starting the synchronous motor;
- local or remote change of voltage or reactive power setting;
- maintaining the voltage specified by the installation at the terminals of the stator with an accuracy of not less than 1% (relative to the established static characteristic) or reactive power with an accuracy of not less than 5%;
- forcing the excitation current to specified values by multiplicity with a decrease in voltage at the terminals of the stator by 10-20% or more;
- limiting the excitation current to a value of 1.4 from the nominal;
- limit the duration of forcing excitation depending on its multiplicity;
- extinguishing the engine field by extinguishing the brushless exciter field;
- limiting the minimum excitation current to a value that does not allow the engine to go into the mode of deep reactive power consumption and fall out of synchronicity.
It is envisaged to issue through dry isolated contacts the following signals about the state of the regulator and exciter:
- automatic operation of the regulator;
- manual operation of the regulator;
- accident of the excitation system (breakdown of the rotating rectifier diode, breakdown of the regulator power transistor, loss of excitation, increased voltage at the terminals of the stator).
