The tests of excitation regulators for hydro generators of the Chirkey HPP were completed on the digital-analog-physical complex of JSC "STC UES".
From 13 to 17th of February 2017, AVR-2 automatic excitation regulators of hydrogenerators No. 1-4 of the Chirkey HPP were tested at the digital-analog-physical complex of JSC "STC UES". Tests were carried out in the scheme of the physical model of the power system, adequately reflects the planned scheme-regime and estimated emergency operating conditions of Chirkey hydropower plant in the South Integrated Power System (IPS) by the program, coordinated by the branch of JSC "SO UES" South Integrated Dispatch Office (IDO).
Representatives of the South IDO, JSC Energocomplekt and Chirkey HPP took part in the tests.
During the tests, the correctness and efficiency of the design parameters of the AVR-2 excitation regulators of the hydrogenerators No. 1-4 of the Chirkey HPP were verified and validated, the preliminary selection of which was carried out according to the methodology developed by JSC "STC UES" using reference digital models of the power system.
The tests were carried out in accordance with the methodology of Appendix B of the Organization Standard of JSC “SO UES” STO 59012820.29.160.20.001-2012 "Requirements for excitation systems and automatic regulators for the excitation of synchronous generators".
The results of the tests were summed up at a technical meeting (test report).
